August Schwer Cuckoo Clock 1-Day Chalet Groundhog 10.2 inches

August Schwer Cuckoo Clock
Cuckoo Clock with 1-day movement / running time (mechanical).
This is a beautiful little cottage clock with a pretty groundhog figurine.
This is fairly small chalet clock, which is in contrast to its comparatively small size very luxuriously fitted with details and a very rich decoration. The house itself is adorned with vines and displays a complete little forest scene in front of the house. There is a little well, logs, and a groundhog figurine.
The little chalet is completely covered with shingles, both roof and sides of the clock (this is typical of Black Forest houses, they often have wooden shingles on outside walls, to protect from the harsh winter climate). However, shingled walls are rarely found on cuckoo clocks at all, due to the intricate work necessary, and it is very rare on a clock of this size.
The clock is completely made of wood, completely handcrafted. Wooden dial, hands, cuckoo (August Schwer exclusive life-like cuckoo, carved and painted in a perfect imitation of the real bird), pendulum.
